I love my bed. It’s my favorite part of my home and curling up in bed is so satisfying. Since the bedroom is one of the most important places in any home, it should be a sanctuary where you have all the necessities. Today I want to share my nightstand essentials which include some items that I can’t live without.

I consider my room to be my happy place where I retreat to a long day. Once I get into bed, I don’t want to get up so it’s ideal to have everything I need right next to me on my nightstand. Honestly, I’ve never had a proper nightstand. I finally got a full furniture set and I have a cute little nightstand next to my bed. I actually feel like an adult.
Lip Balm
As the weather changes, my lips tend to become dry and nothing is worse than dry cracked lips. Is it just me or do you have to moisturize your lips, hands, and feet before bed? There was a point in time where I would only use chapstick or vaseline on my lips. Those simply don’t do the trick. Part of my nighttime routine includes scrubbing my lips and then adding a lip mask for added hydration. This lip mask is lightweight which I prefer over thick vaseline.

Eye Cream
My nighttime skincare routine is normally done before I get into bed, but sometimes laziness kicks in and I end up finishing my skincare routine in bed. For this very reason, I keep my favorite eye cream on my nightstand. I often forget to apply eye cream and maybe that’s why these bags are so terrible.
- Kieh’ls Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado
- Olehenriksen Banana Bright Eye Cream
- Belif Moisturizing Eye Bomb
- The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG
- Supergoop! Bright-Eyed 100% Mineral Eye Cream SPF 40
Hand Cream
Bath & Body Works is my life, I could probably open a store with the number of products I have. The body creams are my favorite, they instantly leave my hands feeling soft and hydrated. I keep the Sleep Aromatherapy Black Chamomile on my nightstand because it contains essential oils. The chamomile calms the mind and the Bergamot oil helps stabilize your mood.

- Bath and Body Works Black Chamomile
- L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream
- Laura Mercier Ambre Vanille Hand Cream
- Tocca Cleopatra Hand Cream
Journal
At night my thoughts tend to consume my mind, so to help me fall asleep I grab my journal and write down whatever has got me worried. Having a journal is so beneficial because for me it really helps put things into perspective. In my journal, I ask questions, make lists, and write down ideas. If you don’t have a journal, what are you doing baby?
Adult Coloring Book:
A new addition to my nightstand has been an adult coloring book. I love the Magical Jungle by Johanna Basford. It’s filled with cute animals and flowers. I will say that they are time-consuming, but the finished product is so satisfying! I find that coloring before bed also eases my mind because it stops me from overthinking.
Candle
I tell you I could open up my own candle store and make bank! Right now I’ve really been enjoying candles from The Sensual Candle Co. I recently purchased the Shai candle and it smells amazing! These candles are made with wooden wicks and a coconut wax blend. The sound of the wooden wick crackling is so soothing.

- Boy Smells Cedar Stack

Water Bottle
Last on my nightstand essentials list is water! Besides dry lips, there is nothing worse than waking up thirsty and having to get out of bad half asleep. I always keep a huge water bottle with a straw next to me incase I need it. These are reusable water bottles with straws or glass bottles of course.
What are your nightstand essentials?
